When and why do we dream?

Did you dream last night? Dreams are mysterious. Some are the reverse of real life. Some are absurd. Two different school, and the psychological school. Both, however, agree that we dream during the REM, or rapid eye movement, phase of sleep. During this phase of sleep, our closed eyes dart rapidly about, our brain activity peaks, and our muscles suffer temporary paralysis.

The physiological theory centers upon how our body, specifically our brains, function during the REM phase of sleep. Proponents of this theory believe that we dream to exercise the synapses, or pathways, between brain cells, and that dreaming takes over where the active and awake brain leaves off. When awake, our brains constantly transmit and receive messages, which course through our billions of brain cells to their appropriate destinations, and keep our bodies in perpetual motion. Dreams replace this function.

Psychological theorists of dreams focus upon our thoughts and emotions, and speculate that dreams deal with immediate concerns in our lives, such as unfinished business from the day, or concerns we are incapable of handing during the course of the day. Dreams can, in fact, teach us things about ourselves that we are unaware of.

Connections between dreams that the human psyche have been made by many people over thousands of years. Sigmund Freud, one of the fathers of modern psychology, believed dreams to be symbolic of any number of things buried deep within our minds and our memories.

Why are rain forest important?

Tropical rain forests are rich with plants and animals and rain forest plants include many of the things we eat.

Plants from the rain forest provide us with many other important things. The rubber in tires comes from the rubber tree. Rope and baskets are made from rain-forest products.

On the other hand, rain forest are essential to recycling water. Almost half of all the world's rain falls on rain forests. When rain forests have been cleared from the land, much less rain falls.

The land becomes hard and dry. Animal and plant life disappears. Thousands of rain forest animals become extinct every day.

Summary

  One day, we had four person to went to the Chou's kitchen to had a dinner. And there had an interesting story happened. This day we were so hungry and the waitress lead us sit in front of a small table. Next, we had an order about a lot of famous diets about here. However, after five minutes, the waitress told us " Sorry, can you move to a big table, you have eight food and this table has not enough place to put them." We are so embarrassed.

High cholesterol

  My friend found out she has high cholesterol. This proves my friend is unhealthy. However, I tell her does not worry about high cholesterol. I will encourage her to eat a little fast food like hamburger, pizza and so on because of calorie. Next, she need to do more exercise. I tell her can go to fitness center and this also can make many new friends. The third one is she need to balanced diet. I hope she can eat every meal in the same period of time everyday. Then I will tell her to drink almost eight bottle of water everyday. This can help my friend to clean her body. Finally, I think she need stop eating a lot of candy, because their have much fat.

Earthquake in china

  In china, there always has the earthquake because of locations. Personally, the most deep impression of one suffering which is the earthquake happened in Wen Chuan. When an earthquake measuring 8.0 on March 12, 2008, this disaster killed 69227 people. Most victims died when buildings fell on them. The depth of seismic focus is 14km. The reason why this earthquake was happened is the plate of Indian Ocean is an underthrust plate which one is lead to Eurasian plate seismaesthesia is not only china can feel, but also Bangkok, Japan and so on can feel that as well. This suffering is the most serious one during now in china.

Coyote (animal)

The coyote is a prominent character in Native America folklore, usually depicted as a trickster who alternately assumes the form of an actual coyote or a man.

summary

  When I was a high school student, I join into the guitar club. And teacher called Brian who was teach us the foundation of guitar. On the other hand, he was not only play the guitar with us, but also help us to shoot a short film like a music MV and contain the element of the guitar. Brian enriched our knowledge in our school life and I hope he has a colorful daily life.

Summary

   In my daily life, music is full of my life. Music can help to do something more easier and I can relax myself. And I have some reasons and hopes to explain.
  First, I want to listen to the vocal concert, because I can claim the soul in this concert. And I love rock and roll very much. Maybe some people think this kind of music is noise. However, I like this kind of music because of rhythm.
  Next, if I need to finish the homework quickly, I need to listen some music. Because the music can lead me to finish easily.
  Finally, I like music very much. Music has its glamour and I think everybody will love it.

The report about hazardous waste (p 106 #2)

  With the development of science and technology, a large number of hazardous waste are made. Industrial effluent often causes a problem to people's health and a lot of poisons waste water comes from that chemical factory. In addition, there is not only some garbage from industrial, but also come from our homes.
  In my opinion, battery is a kind of hazardous waste in my home. Battery is a necessary thing in our daily life, because we need use it to make something keep working like toy cars, remote control and so on. However, people always use the wrong way to throw the useless battery like throw them into the bin. Actually, we have two ways to deal with the useless battery. First one is if batteries in the remote control can not work, we can put them into the toy cars and they still can keep working in a short time. This is behavior can decrease the waste. Another one is we need to put useless batteries into the tissues or bags and throw them into some special bins which are just contain the useless batteries.
  I hope everyone to use the best way to decrease the number of hazardous waste. And we need to protect the environment.

Vocation

  My friend called smile and I went to the Korea when we graduated from the high school. Although we went to the Korea in March, we bought the passenger ticket before April. Before beginning this trip, we had a plan about transportation, hotel and so on. Jizhou island and Seoul had a good view. First, we finished the shopping list. There had many things were cheaper than in china. Then we went to some famous place to visited them. However, I realized a big problem which was food not healthy in Korea. There had pickled food at every meal like pickled vegetable, preserved radish and so on. Meanwhile, the local people like eat soak cooked rice in soup or water as well. Everyone know pickled food were unhealthy to human bodies. We need to avoid this problem. We can not wait to visit Korea again.
